The battle between the Syndicate alien invaders and the forces on Earth continues.

The Space Marines and the Resistance have formed an uneasy alliance, but struggle to put aside old difference as they work to formulate a plan of battle, including a sneak attack on a Syndicate outpost that may hold a clue to turning the tables on the aliens.

Meanwhile, Samantha is confronted by a mysterious new figure that recognizes abilities in her that she never knew she possessed.
